About us
Taylor Vets is your trusted partner in pet care in Cathkin. We offer a comprehensive range of veterinary services, from routine check-ups and vaccinations to advanced surgeries and emergency care.

Who are we?
At our Cathkin surgery, based in the welcoming and fully equipped Smithy House, we provide comprehensive veterinary care supported by modern facilities and a highly experienced team. Our three floor building houses our hospital and reception on the ground level, with administrative offices above, ensuring smooth, well-coordinated care for every visit.
Within the surgery, we offer four dedicated consulting rooms, two nurse consulting rooms, and full kennelling facilities for up to thirty animals. Our hospital includes an isolation ward and the ability to deliver intensive care such as blood transfusions and oxygen therapy when needed.
Our extensive in-house laboratory allows for fast, accurate testing, helping us detect and diagnose conditions early, including blood disorders, organ disease, infections, hormonal issues and more, so treatment can begin without delay.
We perform a full range of surgical procedures using advanced anaesthetic equipment and modern monitoring systems. Every patient receives a tailored anaesthetic plan, full pre-anaesthetic checks, and the option of recommended blood testing to ensure maximum safety.
For imaging, we provide high-quality digital radiography, contrast studies, ultrasound for detailed internal assessment, and a dedicated dental suite complete with dental x-ray capability. We also offer endoscopy for minimally invasive internal examination and foreign-body retrieval.
All consultations are by appointment, and our reception team is always ready to help. Free WiFi is available throughout the Cathkin surgery—just ask at reception.
